Now is the perfect time to roll up your sleeves, dig into the soil, and start planning what you want to grow.

Of course, the big question is always what to plant first. That is where our September planting guide comes in.

Some parts of the country may still be holding on to cooler weather, but you can still give your summer favourites an early start. Find a warm spot like a sunny windowsill or a sheltered nook and begin sowing seeds that love the heat.
