Broccoli Di Ciccio Early is an old world Italian favourite and a wonderful variety of emerald green broccoli that produces a 12 cm central head. After the central head is harvested, a second yield of edible side shoots will develop. Heads are spread out over a period of time making a long harvest season.
The flavor of this broccoli variety is mild but sweet and tasty. It can be eaten raw or cooked any way you would other types of broccoli. The smaller florets are even sweeter and more tender; they are best used raw. The baby leaves of the plant can be used like kale.
